This charming storybook is aimed primarily at the parents, caregivers and teachers who interact with children aged 4-8 who are presenting with an ADHD profile. The author, Merriam Sarcia Saunders, is a psychotherapist who has worked in private practice and as a school counsellor, specialising in helping families of autistic children, ADHD and other learning challenges.
In this publication, she has partnered with Tammie Lyon to produce a simple, but engaging story that follows a young boy through his school day, as he struggles to settle down and feels the need to be constantly on the move.
The book includes notes to support the adults in structuring positive communication and it would be an interesting addition to a school’s neurodiversity resources.
