“The Fonz” honoured for dyslexia work

The Actor Henry Winkler, best known for his role as “The Fonz” in the 1970s comedy Happy Days, has received an honorary OBE for his work on dyslexia in the UK. Henry, who is a Children’s Ambassador for the education services charity Dyslexia Action and an Ambassador for the My Way! special needs awareness campaign, was presented with his award at the British Embassy in Washington in September.

Winkler’s has documented his own struggle with dyslexia in his books for children, about a boy named Hank Zipzer who also has the specific learning difficulty.
